About The Founder

With eight years of experience in advertising, beauty, big tech, and championing DE&I across all three industries, Brittany Johnson has seen firsthand how hard it is for people to feel happy in their own skin. Especially in a world where meeting beauty standards is almost impossible. Brittany’s lifelong battle with severe eczema made it nearly impossible to find products that made her feel good about herself.

As a young girl, she would often cover her skin because she felt ashamed of how dry and flaky it was. Everything, from expensive to cheap products, would conceal but never heal. Now, as a Jamaican-American woman she has returned to her roots - drawing on the wisdom of nature, beauty secrets and healing recipes, passed down through generations of Jamaican women in her family.

Over the years Brittany has deepened her knowledge of chemical composition, through formulation classes, collaborating with leading chemist Marquita Robinson Garcia and sourcing authentic Jamaican ingredients - to create her own product line - Irie Glow.

  • 'Irie'

    (pronounced eye-ree)

  • is a uniquely Jamaican approach to life that’s beyond ‘feeling good’. It’s an intense peace. A state of well-being, happiness or contentment.
